Making healthymagination a reality

Introduced in May of 2009, healthymagination is a GE business strategy designed to address global healthcare needs in very real and relevant ways. This strategy is tied to explicit goals — increasing affordability in the healthcare system, improving the quality of care, and increasing access to care — by 15% each.

We’ve committed to research and development investment aimed at launching at least 100 innovations that help accomplish these goals by 2015. To determine whether a given product really does deliver on the healthymagination promise, we established a rigorous and challenging process for evaluating and measuring them.
